I’m available for freelance assignments and will be happy to provide you with an official estimate and work within budgets and time constraints as needed. I will travel within the Charleston area at no added cost, but will require mileage for anything outside of the area.
Photography
Available for on-location, studio, or event photography, including second shooter or fill-in. I’ve been shooting in a freelance environment since 2002, and have also worked as a staff photographer for Accents Magazine, CHARLIE Magazine, and TheDigitel (so I understand all about deadlines, production assignments/requirements, and how to work with writers, editors, and creative directors.)
Video production
I also shoot and edit video, mostly working with the output from Canon DSLRs (5D MarkII or 7D) at full 1080p HD. I have the ability to shoot with slider/rails, booms and stabilization rigs, and do all post-production via Apple’s Final Cut Pro.
Web development
I’ve been building things on the web since 1996, and have a deep understanding of what works and what doesn’t, to include design theory/conventions, web standards, adaptive design, information architecture and web usability. I cut through a lot of the bullshit and offer a solid web presence where a client can take ownership of their own content. Oh, and I don’t drop off of the radar once the final check clears – I’m happy to meet with clients (in person or virtual) after the fact. Gone are the days of charging by the page, or every time you need to update your content. My CMS (Content Management System) of choice is Drupal, although I know/use WordPress (which this site uses), SquareSpace, and MediaWiki.
